ATL x Network Rail Leicester – Successful Trial Completion! ✅

We’re delighted to announce that ATL, in partnership with Network Rail Leicester, has successfully completed installation and testing trials for our new generation points heating transformer.

Engineered with today’s rail infrastructure challenges in mind, this adaptive system sets a new benchmark in performance, durability, and future readiness.

• Enhanced resistance to contaminants, water ingress, and extreme weather
• Suitable for coastal and flood-prone installations
• Supports supply cables up to 150 mm²
• Separate pad-lockable primary and secondary access points – ideal for multi-disciplinary maintenance
• Maintains the existing footprint and foundation fittings, ensuring compatibility with legacy systems
• Configurable primary for Class I and Class II feeder arrangements
• Designed for future modulation and telemetry integration
• Delivers extended asset life and installation efficiency

A special thank you to the Network Rail Leicester and the PA team for their collaboration and support throughout the trial phase and in the absence of a power supply to Haide Technologies for providing an ‘ORCA’ (View Network PA Ceritifcate) Off Grid methanol fuel cell to energise the transformer and heater strip loads during the trial. ATL continue to support the railway’s journey toward a smarter, safer and a more resilient infrastructure.
